When RD1 Spirits began planning its expansion in Lexington, they weren’t just looking to add space—they set out to create an experience. One that reflects their story, their craft, and the spirit of Kentucky itself.
At K-RAX®, we were proud to help bring that vision to life. While our systems are best known for their strength and performance in large-scale barrel storage, this project called for something different—a custom-built showpiece that showcases the same engineering precision and attention to detail, in a way guests can see and feel.
Our entire team collaborated closely with RD1 to design and fabricate a display system that captures the beauty of the barrel-aging process while maintaining the same structural integrity and safety standards found in our full-scale rickhouses. The result is more than a display—it’s a statement of craftsmanship, innovation, and pride in the distilling tradition.
